Mossad and 9/11
Caution: this is a contentious article both regarding its authorship, the transcript of an alleged telephone call and the claims made as to who had prior knowledge about 9/11. Many of the factual details (for example, the close residential addresses of Mossad agents to the 9/11 terrorists) are well established, others less so. The alleged political aims of the participants are clearly judgement calls. The article was obtained from the Conspiracy Planet website.
As written, this article should be seen as conspiracy theory - and rejected as an explanation for the events of 9/11. However, it does refer to a number of important facts which have never been adequately explained, and deserve an explanation:
* the close residential poximity of Mossad agents to the 9/11 terrorists within the US.
* the failure of the CIA to pass on to other US agencies key intelligence details regarding the movements of people it knew to be terrorists.
* the alleged warnings from Odigo messaging service to persons in the US prior to the 9/11 attacks which appear, from other sources, to have some basis in fact.
* who were the people who supposedly 'innocently' benefited from the Put options transactions on 9/11?
* the bizarre behaviour of Pres.Bush and other key officials on 9/11.
There are also the unanswered questions regarding:
* the purpose of Mossad agents present in the US at the time who were later sent home for 'visa violations', a diplomatic courtesy used to evict spys from 'friendly' nations.
* the under-reported role of the Israeli- Russian mafia and drug traffickers - allegedly controlling most of the ecstacy importations into the US and their likely involvement with Israeli intelligence. [Atta attended a drug flight school and the CIA has been documented as importing drugs for decades.]
Given that the US received multiple warnings from foreign intelligence agencies prior to 9/11 - including Mossad - it ought not to be ruled out altogether that rogue elements within both Mossad and the CIA may have been working together to bring about 9/11 and that these groups may have had connections to both established drug trafficking rings and to key elements of the political leadership both within the US and Israel.
The following article ought to be read with these caveats in mind.

Ever since the extremist attacks on various American targets on September 11, 2001, an enormous body of literature, mostly theory and supposition, has erupted throughout the world.
The real story about this tragedy is far more interesting, and provable, than the great forests of fiction that have grown up around it. There are two parts to this story. There is no point going over the known facts again because there are very few Americans who do not know them.
The most reasonable accounting, stripped of fictional additions, is that a group of Arabs planned and executed it entirely on their own and that, for some unknown and very implausible reasons, the American authorities allege they were taken completely by surprise.
None of this is true, by the way.
The Arabs had highly proficient non-Arab assistance and the American authorities were fully appraised of the progress, timing and full details of the pending attack by those instrumental in directing the suicide pilots.
This documented version is far more simple than the fictions.
It is that the Israeli Mossad (foreign intelligence,) had fully penetrated the Atta group in Florida while they were plotting 9/11.
That Mossad not only penetrated the Atta group, long in advance of the attack, but gave it a great deal of technical advise and also supplied them with current intelligence information on possible U.S. surveillance and defensive measures.
And further, after much soul –searching in Tel Aviv, Ariel Sharon decided to notify the American government via the Israeli Ambassador in Washington, and also to copy the information to the American Central Intelligence Agency with whom they had, and still have, a very close working relationship.
Not only was the American President, and especially the Vice President, fully aware of the pending attack, but a number of Israelis also knew about this in great detail and used the information to enrich themselves, to the amount of sixteen millions dollars, on the international stock market.
First, I include a portion of a recent telephone intercept on the subject, followed by a point by point dissection of the issue as outlined above.

B: We passed everything along, everything. Who knows, someone on your side might have leaked something and then the media bastards would be all over us, not to mention the White House.
A: We’re interested to know why someone with you hasn’t gone to the press…
B: It was highly compartmented and on a need to know. And anyone with this knowledge would be terminated with the usual extreme prejudice if they even hinted at it. The recent business with the Brits is pure circus but the White House loves it…
A: It’s so blatantly stupid that it will fall apart of its own weight. The Atta attacks are believable because they carried them out. There was the proof, right on television but the story about the bombs? Who will believe that one? And we had no knowledge of this and if there had been a real ongoing probe, for sure we would have heard all about it. And you? Did you hear anything?
B: After the fact and we agree: no one really believes this. It will go away…
A: That’s usual. But on the earlier business, remember we kept you right up to the mark. And don’t believe that the Bush people wouldn’t throw all of you into the sea over this if it ever came out. You would say you warned them and they would deny it. And where is the proof? You burned it. And where are you then? They will toss a sop to public opinion and sack the lot of you.
B: The DCI kept his word and his silence and they have no reason to push this any further. God knows what it might turn up. There could have been other warnings…
A: There were. From the Germans, the French, Putin, Egypt, Morocco and God knows who else. They are bloody lucky it didn’t blow up in their face. But I can repeat that we are not on the stove this time. You know, anti-Israeli feelings are running high now and the public will be ready to believe anything bad. I don’t want to have to explain that of course we knew what they were up to. After all, we have the right to defend our citizens against terrorism, but you all knew what we were doing and we kept telling you what was coming. You know that, don’t deny it.
B: I’m certainly not and I assure you, there will be no trouble from there. The White House will not be able to deny we told them and we will not be able to deny you told us….
A: In plenty of time to stop it. We could never understand why they did nothing but on the other hand, it suited them to have excuses, didn’t it?
B: Excuses? For what?
A: Reasons, it should have been reasons. Now, they had an excuse for their stupid wars.
B: You did benefit from removing Iraq from the game, didn’t you?
A: Of course, but this thing was never thought out and look at where things are now. It’s going to be a disaster for all of us. Of course if we win in Lebanon and gain the buffer zone and frighten Syria into minding its business, all and good but if not, this is a huge cancer that can grow.
CIA and Mossad monitoring of 9/11 terrorists.
In January of 2000, a meeting of high-level al Qaeda personnel took place in Kuala Lumpur. According to the official CIA report, this is where the attacks on the USS Cole and World Trade Center were put forward.. The Kuala Lumpur meeting was monitored by Malaysian intelligence at the request of the CIA. The CIA was able to determine the identities of the participants, if not the entire agenda.
Among those attending: were Ramzi Binalshibh, a student in Germany who then returned there and supposedly organized the Hamburg cell led by Atta, Khalid Almihdhar and Nawaf Alhazmi. They subsequently entered the United States and moved around the country freely for 18 months, before they successfully hijacked the American Airlines commercial aircraft that was flown into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001,
Alhmihdhar's story is especially incredible because he left and reentered the United States at least twice more, once traveling to Germany to meet Binalshibh, and once going to Yemen, where the CIA believes he helped prepare the bombing of the USS Cole. Although he was identified as a suspect in the Cole bombing soon after that attack, the CIA never told the FBI or the INS anything about either him or Alhazmi until late August, 2001 -- after he had reentered the United States yet again. This proved to be far too late to apprehend Alhazmi.
Further the CIA also did not inform the German authorities about its suspicions regarding Binalshibh, where they could have connected him to the other members of the "Hamburg cell" that included the WTC suicide pilots, Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi.
The CIA did monitor Binalshibh long enough to connect him to Atta, because CIA had Mohamed Atta under surveillance in Hamburg starting in January 2000. This surveillance continued until Atta applied for and received a U.S. entry visa from the U.S. embassy in Berlin (on May 18, 2000) and flew to the United States out of Prague in June.
In October of 2000, two Mossad cells of six Egyptian and Yemeni- born Jews, started training at a secret base in Israel's Negev Desert with the purpose of penetrating Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, both in Europe (where they were known to be functioning in Hamburg, Germany) and the United States where a known bin Laden cell had been identified as being organized. It is generally known that the Mossad has penetrated every Arab and Muslim organization and would have had little problem in finding any number of fanatics to carry out a suicide mission in the belief they were serving Allah. Indeed, recent news reports contended that not all of the hijackers knew their mission would end in death.
One team flew to Amsterdam and were under the control of Mossad's Europe Station. This is based at Schipol Airport within the El Al complex. They later made contact in Hamburg with Mohammed Atta, the lead hijacker on September 11.
The second group flew directly to New York. From there they traveled south to Florida and infiltrated the Bin Laden organization. In the town of Hollywood, Florida, they identified the two former Hamburg students and later terror pilots, Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi. The Mossad team lived in the vicinity of the apartment of the two seemingly normal flight school students, observing them around the clock.
On August 17th, 2001, the Mossad team in Europe flew with some of the Hamburg terrorists into Boston, a month before the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Mossad agents had learned from the CIA that the leader of this group, Hanan Serfati, had rented several dwellings. "One of Serfati's apartments was located on the corner of 701st St. and 21st Ave. [sic] in Hollywood, right near the apartment of Atta and al-Shehi."The chief Israeli agent was residing near the Hollywood post office where the terrorists had a mailbox. The Mossad also had its sights on Atta’s accomplice Khalid al-Midhar, with whom the CIA was also familiar, but allowed to run free. The Mossad team kept Atta under continuous surveillance while he was attending flight school in Florida in 2000 and early 2001.
The initial penetration was followed by these agents, acting on specific orders from the Mossad, assisting the Atta people in developing their plans to attack “important American government and financial centers.” The Mossad agents were fully conversant with the plans of this group but, although asked to participate, declined to do so, claiming they were engaged in other, “more important” activities. The Mossad warned their American counterparts several times about the terrorists, especially about al-Midhar.
The Mossad team had established an attack on the U.S. was "imminent". It reported this to its Tel Aviv controller through the Israeli Embassy in Washington using a system of (at that time) secure communications. The Mossad groups secret communications with the Israeli Embassy in Washington and Mossad units in Holland had been breached by DoD experts working with the NSA.
The Central Intelligence Agency also was involved in this interdiction - one way for the CIA to request assistance from the Mossad to keep an eye on, or attempt to penetrate the Atta group without itself violating the ban on activities inside the United States. An allied spy agency could violate American law on the CIA's behalf, and watch the suspect without needing to involve the FBI or any other domestic American agency, because the CIA was extremely jealous of its perceived rivals and kept a great deal of otherwise very important information strictly private.
On August 24, 2001, the head of the Israeli Mossad reported the imminence of an Arab attack against American targets to the Israeli Embassy and the Mossad connections inside the CIA, and a similar report was made by the same agency on September 7, 2001 and provided the United States with a list of 19 potential terrorists, whom the Mossad believed were planning an imminent attack within the United States. At least four of the names on this list later turned up again as four of the 19 alleged Sept. 11 hijackers.
On August. 23, 2001, the Israeli intelligence service Mossad presented to its American counterpart a list of names of 19 identified Muslim terrorists who were then living in the United States and were planning to carry out an attack by hijacked commercial aircraft against specific, listed targets in Washington, D.C. “in less than a month…probably the second week in September…”
According to a highly-classified CIA report on this issue, Mossad agents in the United States, working with the knowledge of the FBI and the CIA, had followed four of the 19 hijackers, including Almihdhar., and in Hollywood, Florida, had penetrated the group using agents fluent in Arabic and born in Arab countries.
According to the CIA (and subsequent FBI internal and highly classified reports) Arab terrorists and suspected terror cells lived in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as in Miami and Hollywood, Florida from December 2000 to April 2001 “in direct proximity to the Israeli spy cells which had penetrated said alleged terrorist groups with their own, Arab-speaking agents."
In early September, 2001, Mossad Chief Efraim Halevy sent a warning to the CIA of the possibility of such an attack. The warning was noted and acknowledged. But the then-CIA chief George Tenet has described it as "too non-specific." The FBI was also informed. Halevy sent a second alert to the CIA that reached Washington on September 7.
Pre-911 Israeli Stock Market Manipulations
Short selling of stocks involves the opportunity to gain large profits by passing shares to a friendly third party, then buying them back when the price falls. Historically, if this precedes a traumatic event, it is an indication of foreknowledge. It is widely known that the CIA uses the Promis software to routinely monitor stock trades as a possible warning sign of a terrorist attack or suspicious economic behavior.
A week after the Sept.11 attacks, the London Times reported that the CIA had asked regulators for the Financial Services Authority in London to investigate the suspicious sales of millions of shares of stock just prior to the terrorist acts. It was hoped the business paper trail might lead to the terrorists.
The Times said market regulators in Germany, Japan and the US all had received information concerning the short selling of insurance, airlines and arms companies stock, all of which fell sharply in the wake of the attacks.
City of London broker and analyst Richard Crossley noted that someone sold shares in unusually large quantities beginning three weeks before the assault on the WTC and Pentagon.
He said he took this as evidence that someone had insider foreknowledge of the attacks.
"What is more awful than he should aim a stiletto blow at the heart of Western financial markets?" he added. "But to profit from it? Words fail me."
The US Government also admitted it was investigating short selling, which evinced a foreknowledge of the tragedy. Following the attack and in response to strong representations from the Israeli government, through their Ambassador, all investigations into the Israeli stock transactions were halted and information obtained by them put under protective seal.
There was unusually heavy trading in airline and insurance stocks several days before Sept.11, which essentially bet on a drop in the worth of the stocks.
September 6-7, 2001 -- 4,744 put options (a speculation that the stock will go down) are purchased on United Air Lines stock as opposed to only 396 call options (speculation that the stock will go up). This is a dramatic and abnormal increase in sales of put options. September 10, 2001 -- 4,516 put options are purchased on American Airlines as compared to 748 call options. [Source: ICT -- above]
September 6-11, 2001 -- No other airlines show any similar trading patterns to those experienced by UAL and American. The put option purchases on both airlines were 600% above normal. This at a time when Reuters (September 10) issues a business report stating, "Airline stocks may be poised to take off."
September 6-10, 2001 -- Highly abnormal levels of put options are purchased in Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, AXA Re(insurance) which owns 25% of American Airlines, and Munich Re. All of these companies are directly impacted by the September 11 attacks. [Source: ICT, above]
It has been documented that the CIA, the Israeli Mossad and many other intelligence agencies monitor stock trading in real time using highly advanced programs reported to be descended from Promis software. This is to alert national intelligence services of just such kinds of attacks. Promis was reported, as recently as June, 2001 to be in Osama bin Laden's possession and, as a result of stories by FOX, both the FBI and the Justice Department have confirmed its use for U.S. intelligence gathering through at least this summer. September 29, 2001 -- The San Francisco Chronicle reports that $2.5 million in put options on American Airlines and United Airlines are unclaimed. This is likely the result of the suspension in trading on the NYSE after the attacks which gave the Securities and Exchange Commission time to be waiting when the owners showed up to redeem their put options.
It was reported by the Interdisciplinary Center, a counter-terrorism think tank involving former Israeli intelligence officers, that insiders made nearly $16 million profit by short selling shares in American and United Airlines, the two airlines that suffered hijacking, and the investment firm of Morgan Stanley, which occupied 22 floors of the WTC.
Of all the nations of the world, Israel probably profited the most from the events of September.11. A permanent American military force in the Middle East that could protect Israel in the event of any kind of Arab military attacks was now assured. After Ariel Sharon's provocative visit to the Muslim mosque in Jerusalem resulted in widespread violence by Palestinians, world opinion began to shift away from uncritical support of Israel. This shift became even more pronounced when Israel savagely attacked Lebanon, destroying thousands of civilian dwellings and several thousand unarmed Lebanese civilians
It has been reported that the when Bush Administration was beginning to seriously consider support for a separate Palestinian state Aerial Sharon commissioned Israel's intelligence agency, the Mossad to institute counter measured that would effectively neutralize this support, according to the US Army's School of Advanced Military Studies. The Washington Times on Sept.10, just 24 hours before the attacks, ran an article quoting officers of the school as describing the Mossad as "Wildcard. Ruthless and cunning. Has capability to target US forces and make it look like a Palestinian/Arab act."
Israeli Penetration of American information systems
The first suspects arrested in connection with the attack were caught cheering as the towers fell, were Israelis, later identified as Mossad agents. The arrested spies worked for Urban Moving Systems, whose Israeli owner promptly fled to Israel where he was safe, the Israeli government blocking any local investigations into him.. Coupled with the spies themselves was the discovery of a massive phone tapping operation carried out by yet another Israeli company contracted to place phone tapping equipment on the US phone system to aid US law enforcement authorities.
It is also to be noted that an Israeli-based private communications company, Amdocs was also a prime suspect in the September . 11 attacks may have managed to stay ahead of any U.S. law enforcement and counter-intelligence agencies, by knowing who and when investigators are calling on the telephone. This is accomplished by obtaining and analyzing data that is generated every time someone in the U.S. makes a telephone call.
Most directory assistance calls, and virtually all call records and billing inside the U.S. are done for the telephone companies by Amdocs Ltd., an Israeli-based private telecommunications company.
At that time, Amdocs has contracts with the 25 biggest telephone companies in America, and even more worldwide. The White House and other secure government phone lines awere protected, but it was virtually impossible for any American to make a call on any American phone without generating an Amdocs record of it.
In 1999, the National Security Agency, issued a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmentalized Information report, TS/SCI, warning that records of calls in the United States were getting into foreign hands – in Israel, in particular. And this same agency strongly suspected that Israelis were using that very same system to listen in on the phone calls of Americans when high profile drug investigations into Ecstasy rings (run by the Israeli organized crime) were derailed using information only obtainable from police phone calls. In the Kenneth Starr report, it is reported that Bill Clinton was aware that an unnamed foreign power had made recordings of his phone sex sessions with Monica Lewinsky.
In the end, three Israeli companies with deep penetration of the American communications infrastructure were implicated in the phone and internet tapping scandal. One of these companies, Odigo, had an office near the World Trade Towers, and received a two hour advance warning of the impending attack. Two hours means the warning was sent before the planes that eventually crashed into the World Trade Towers had even left the ground on their final flights! Someone knew of the plan, someone who decided they needed to warn Israelis working for a company linked to Israel's spying operation.
Conclusions
The CIA, concerned that their continuing silence about full knowledge of this terrorist attack, long before it occurred, might later be used by their Mossad informants as a form of blackmail, now informed both the anti-terrorist section of the Department of State, the FBI and the INS about Almihdhar and Alhazmi, who were then immediately put on a watch list as presumed members of Qaeda.
All of these reports were duly passed to the top leadership of the CIA, the Department of Justice, the U.S. military intelligence organs via the Department of Defense and, last but by no means least, directly to the officials in the White House who headed the National Security Section and who reported directly to the President on a daily basis.
When George W. Bush discovered that what he called “traitors,” and the Vice President called “dissident elements,” in the CIA that threatened to release CIA files showing very clearly that the top leadership of the United States had been well, timely and fully informed by the Mossad about the pending attacks, he sacked George Tenent, but only after the latter agreed to destroy over a hundred highly secret CIA files, in toto.[?] The quid pro quo for this was that Tenent would resign “with honor” and be presented with the Medal of Freedom by the President himself.
It has become evident that the Bush Administration has done everything within its power to block any official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the 9/11 attack. In previous matters, such as Pearl Harbor or the Kennedy assassination, the administrations concerned made every public effort to support official investigations, and the American media made every public effort to support findings of the various investigative bodies (but only insofar as these findings supported the administration’s views).
Frantic attempts on the part of the Bush people, and especially on the part of the President himself, to either totally avoid any investigation into the background of the September 11, 2001 attacks or, second best, to completely derail it, does not speak well of its motives, but it certainly highlights their foreknowledge.
Evidence that the President and his senior staff were fully aware of the impending attacks and made no effort to stop them, issued no timely warnings to American military units to prepare for such attacks and simply awaited them with the full knowledge that they would then be able to attack and occupy Iraq, secure its enormous oil reserves and support Israeli policies in the Mid East is not only circumstantial but direct as well.
The sudden decision of the President to take his top staff with him to Florida where he read “My Pet Goat” to a class of minority children and then show absolutely no emotion when informed that there were massive terrorist attacks against American soil is quite simply not believable but his subsequent panicked flight, not to Washington but to a secure bunker in the Midwest is indeed typical of him. Bush is a physical and moral coward and his actions have never been hose of a bold or competent leader.
Franklin Roosevelt has long been suspected of knowing, through intelligence intercepts, that the Japanese were about to launch an attack against the United States and, wishing to get the United States into a European war, did and said nothing to let the approaching Japanese know he was aware of them and worse, neither Roosevelt or any of his military staff warned the U.S. military commanders at Pearl Harbor or Manila that an attack was in train.
It is never seriously been put forward that either Roosevelt or Bush actively plotted against the United States for personal or political reasons but by being fully aware, and reliably informed of a pending attack and permitting it, by default, to happen, were indeed guilty of the thousands of deaths that followed.
There are doubtlessly readers who will assume that the theme of this observation is anti-Semitic. It is not. It is more than clear that the Israeli Mossad penetrated the terrorist groups and even gave them suggestions to enhance their own abilities but one should note, very clearly, that the Israeli government most certainly notified the U.S. government, to include the White House and CIA, in a timely way. It is not the Israelis that are the target of this comment but the U.S. government, at the highest levels.
In legal terminology, a failure by one not an accessory, or a duly elected or appointed official, to prevent, or notify, of a felony is called the misprison of a felony and is a serious criminal charge, in the present case, easily grounds for impeachment.
"Osama bin Laden and 'Al Qaeda' cannot be the organizers nor the performers of the September 11 attacks. They do not have the necessary organization, resources or leaders. Thus, a team of professionals had to be created and the Arab kamikazes are just extras to mask the operation. The September 11 operation modified the course of events in the world in the direction chosen by transnational mafias and international oligarchs; that is, those who hope to control the planet's natural resources, the world information network and the financial flows. This operation also favored the US economic and political elite that also seeks world dominance.”
General Leonid Ivashov
General Leonid Ivashov was the Chief of the Department for General Affairs in the Soviet Union's Ministry of Defense, Secretary of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Community of Independent States (CIS), Chief of the Military Co-operation Department at the Russian Federation's Ministry of Defense, and Joint Chief of Staff of the Russian Armies. He was serving at the time of the 9/11 attacks.
